Casa Batlló

Yesterday me and Andrea went to see Gaudi's Casa Batlló from the inside. The dragon house is located on Barcelona's main street Passeig de Gracia and seems to just have been randomly squeezed in between the other perfectly "normal" buildings, like an extraterrestrial just trying to blend with the crowd. The house sans straight lines was indeed as overwhelming from the inside as it's almost intimidating facade. Wobbly staircases and tiny hidden trap doors made both me and Andrea wander off in fantasies about the lucky Batlló-children (yes, someone did actually live there once...) playing hide and seek, giggling and navigating confidently through every familiar corner of this magic house...
